The Center for Business and Policy Research (CBPR) was founded in 2004 as the Business Forecasting Center.
Thomas Pogue, Director
Thomas E. Pogue is an Associate Director of the Center for Business and Policy Research. Thomas received his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno, and his Ph.D. in the Economics of Technological Change from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Prior to joining the Business Forecasting Center, he worked at several research institutes including the South African Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Tshwane University's Institute for Economic Research on Innovation, the University of Cape Town's Development Policy Research Unit, and the University of Nevada's Center for Economic Development.
Steven McCarty, Research Analyst
Steven McCarty is a Research Analyst II in our Center for Business and Policy Research. Steven has earned graduate degrees in three different disciplines including a JD and an Environmental Law Certificate. He has an extensive background in policy and instruction at several community colleges where he was a professor of business law.
